- Powerful, Portable Heating and Cooling
The 14,000 BTU (8,000 BTU, DOE) NewAir Portable Air Conditioner and Heater reliably maintains the perfect temperature in rooms up to 23' x 23'. Portable air conditioners are a great way to temporarily beat the heat in areas where you can't add central air or window units, and its heating function takes the chill out of drafty spots in the fall or winter.
- Included Window Venting Kit Sets Up in Minutes
Portable A/C units require venting through a window. Setting this up is easy with the included hose and venting kit. Ready to take it down? Built-in cord storage and easy-glide casters make it a snap to relocate to use as a space heater or store it for the season.
- 4 Great Products in One
This powerful appliance does everything you need, no matter what the weather or season. Use the air conditioner to quickly cool down a hot room, or use as a fan alone to save energy. The auto-evaporative system dehumidifies and recycles excess moisture, while the heater keeps you toasty all winter long.
- Integrated Cooling Tank
Compressor air conditioners are the best way to achieve cool, dry air in humid climates, but they can become less efficient in extreme heat. NewAir solves that problem with an innovative integrated water tank that keeps the compressor cool to maximize efficiency — and keep your cooling costs down.
- Clean, Customizable Comfort
Choose from three fan speeds to create breezes that flow with up to 250 CFMs of fan power. Easy-clean slide-out dust filters tamp down allergens, and you can control it all with the easy interface and included remote control.

Bought this a while ago. Its been operating at maximum efficiency for years. never had any problem and extremely dependable
Living in Houston, TX, the temperature can get well into the hundreds with a humidity index of 100%. Even with central air, cooling lower than 80° just isn't possible. So, I was thrilled to find out about portable air conditioners. This specific portable AC is wonderful! I am able to cool my bedroom in less than an hour all the way down to the sixties! The unit is relatively quiet for portable AC, even when the compressor is running. I can't tell you how big this is as some units I have had in the past have been very loud. The unit does not take up much space and is very easy to use. One function I really like is the energy saver which enables you to use a water tank to cool the compressor thereby helping you save on energy costs. The unit also uses the water generated from cooling to cool down the compressor so you never have to drain the unit! The included window kit is very simple to install and comes with all necessary tools. From the outside of the house, you can't even tell you have an AC on the inside! Overall, the portable AC/heater is a great product and I would recommend to anyone looking for alternative cooling/heating options.
I installed this unit in my shop where my 3d printer requires a controlled environment...it's easy to set it...and forget it.
It does move the air around and thats a good thing...I was worried about having to buy additional fans to move the air, but with this unit...no need. However, that does mean it puts out some noise. No more than you'd expect given it's performance.
Solid construction, feels strong, not cheap. Easy to move around (on wheels).
I purchased this unit in September, but did not install it since my old Soleus Air unit continued to function. I installed the new unit after the old unit quit a couple of days ago. The new unit would not heat and is being replaced. My interaction with customer service via chat was nothing short of excellent. After diagnosing the issue, a decision to send a replacement under warranty was made without hesitation. I am appreciative and believe that the NewAir Portable Air Conditioner and Heater, 14,000 BTUs (8,600 BTU, DOE), Cools 525 sq. ft. is a quality product and will satisfy my needs for years to come.
Love the machine, easy instal and use. Fits anywhere and easy to move if you need to.
The direction manual could be written clearer. If you follow the manual it doesn't separate using the system for heat or air conditioning...which it should. I loaded the water container and the machine kept shutting off when it reached 40 degrees. When in fact you don't want to fill the water basin for heat. The document does NOT mention that.
The unit itself though was a great buy and the install super easy. I'd definitely recommend it.
